LOG-NET Announces Hanjin Shipping as the 2008 LOG-NET e-commerce Excellence Award Winner for Third Year in a Row
March 4, 2009 RED BANK, NJ--LOG-NET, Inc., an industry leader in
international enterprise supply chain software solutions, announced that Hanjin
Shipping Corporation, one of the major contributors to global marine transport,
was named the recipient of the annual LOG-NET e-commerce excellence award for
the third year in row. The award was presented this week at the Journal of
Commerce’s Transpacific Maritime Conference in Long Beach, California. The
award recognizes Hanjin Shipping for its consistent performance across multiple
clients and its ability to achieve the highest level of completeness among all
ocean carriers rated in the delivery of EDI events LOG-NET customers have
selected as most important to them.
The LOG-NET e-commerce award is the industry's highest honor for ocean carrier
excellence. The award rates ocean carriers on the set-up and daily execution of
electronic commerce interfaces with clients.
"Each year our survey includes hundreds of
thousands of containers and operating events,” noted John Motley, president and
CEO of LOG-NET, Inc. “We review large shippers that are moving tens of thousands
of containers a year and smaller shippers that are moving one thousand or fewer
containers. We also consider carriers that have set-up for many of our
customers and consistently provide quality configuration and transmission of
data across various sizes of shippers.”
At the award ceremony, LOG-NET made honorable mention of four other
carriers for their tremendous performance in each area of e-commerce.
Qualifying in the top five were CMA CGM—fifth place, China Shipping—fourth
place, Yang Ming—third place, and Hyundai—runner-up.
“On behalf of LOG-NET, we congratulate the entire Hanjin
team,” noted John Motley, president and CEO of LOG-NET, Inc.
“This is Hanjin’s third year in a row for our award and we commend them
for their market leadership and continued focus on customer delivery.”
